Experienced New Arrivals Set to Make Their Mark
Optima-life welcomes to the team Dr Simon Wallace and Mr John Feaver. Simon takes up the role of Health Director and John that of Non Executive Director of Business Development. Both bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience and an undoubted passion for improving health and performance in sport, the workplace and everyday health
Simon began his career as a GP and Public Health doctor and has worked at the Health Education Authority, the Kings Fund and the South East Institute for Public Health. He has undertaken work with the Department of Health, the Dept of Trade and Industry, Health Authorities and Hospital Trusts. In recent years he has worked in the commercial sector with management roles in the telemedicine and health records arena. He was physician director to Cerner UK, a global supplier of information technology, immediately prior to joining Optima-life.
The healthcare time-bomb of an aging population coupled with lifestyle diseases and long term conditions lie at the heart of Simon's remit. He is already working with a number of organisations looking at ways of harnessing use of the Optima-life technology and services to help improve health and performance.
John is a former Wimbledon and British Davis Cup tennis player. After 16 years in tennis he developed a successful business career with managerial roles with a number of commercial organisations including Sponsorship and International director at the Lawn Tennis Association. John's close association with Wimbledon still remains as he has been Head of player Relations since 1996. Last year John was Trustee and Sponsorship director for the Lord Mayor of London's Appeal. John is now busy working with the Optima-life team in the commercial sector where they are showing employers and employees how changes in lifestyle and health can impact positively on performance. John will combine his business development role at Optima-life with his current position of Director and Trustee of the Peter Jones Foundation and National Academy for Enterprise.
